Udviklingsprisen 2025
Development Award 2025
In connection with the Danish Youth Indoor Hockey Championships, the recipient of the 2025 Development Award, Rasmus Andersen, was present. The Chair of the Development Committee, Peter Kristensen, and committee member Bettina Eriksen had the great pleasure of presenting the award to Rasmus in his natural setting – as a referee, just before officiating the U16 final match.
“He contributes significantly to refereeing in Danish hockey and serves as a role model for other young players who wish to become referees,” were among the remarks in the motivation.
The Danish Hockey Union extends its warmest and well-deserved congratulations to Rasmus Andersen, and we all look forward to following his continued journey and development within the world of officiating.
Ildsjæleprisen 2025
In addition to the Development Award, the Development Committee also has the opportunity to present the Ildsjæleprisen (Dedication Award/Volunteer of the Year Award).
This year, the award was presented to Morten Reynhard from Copenhagen Hockey Club – a long-standing driving force behind the often unseen but significant political work for ensuring proper conditions in a small sport. He has also generously shared his knowledge with several other clubs across the country. His contribution represents a major, though often invisible, effort towards the development of hockey in Denmark.
The award was presented at this year’s General Assembly on Sunday, where KH Chair Tobias Mourier accepted it on behalf of Morten.
The Danish Hockey Union extends its sincere congratulations and thanks to Morten Reynhard for his dedicated efforts.
“Just Because” Award 2025
The Competition Committee (TU) is the first committee to make use of this award – a prize that can be given when a DHU committee wishes to recognise an extraordinary effort.
The TU has received several nominations from clubs regarding Thomas Kaiser, a coach from Slagelse Hockey Club. His positive approach to fair play and his encouraging remarks to all players, regardless of club, are among the qualities highlighted – not only by other clubs and coaches, but also by parents of opposing teams. Naturally, TU is very pleased to hear about such positive experiences on the field and wishes to recognise Thomas’s contribution to Danish youth hockey, across both younger and older age groups.
Thomas received the award during the 2026 Danish Youth Championships. The applause throughout the hall, as Chair Louise Smedegaard presented the diploma and flowers, made it clear that Thomas was the perfect first recipient of this award.
The Danish Hockey Union warmly congratulates Thomas.
